  • New year same Scramble! – from Shooter

The first Scramble in 2022 produced familiar faces on a beautiful non humid gloom. YHC arrived to the sites of Hammer completing some pre stretches. After some brief chatter Zoolander came rolling in followed by Waterpik with his usual prethang miler or so before and after the Scramble..

Brief warmup of 20, 15 and 10 SSH, Imperial walkers, Merkins, Butt kicks, Squats, Lunges, Self love and Grass grabbers.

Moseyed in pairs for about 4 miles through the Hermitage and down West Beach to Lakeshore and back up to Monroe with another loop through Hermitage..

Arrived back right on time to close with count, announce and COT..

Appreciate Waterpik closing us out in ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ!!

    Until the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!!

  • No Shoe Left Untied…No Cowbell Either? – from Bushwacker

It was great to be back out at the Scramble, especially on a crisp clear morning with Christmas carols in the air! As we began the warm up, a bright pair of head lights made the corner and what to our wondering eyes did appear but Zoolander arriving to spread Christmas cheer…but no Cowbell.

    WARMORAMA

    x10 IC:
SSH, High Knees, Imperial Walkers, Slow Squats, Windmills, Toe Touches

    THANG

It seems since Ida took out out the pier, there is no more “Regular” route, and Qs have been trying to be clever with various trajectories and tribulations for the PAX to suffer through. QIC was similarly inspired last night, but that inspiration was dashed by a wave of life and the Scramble was all the better for it. We went something like this: Messina to Monroe to W Beach to Lakshore to Coffee to Villere (through Pik Pass) back to Messina and returning to city hall. Along the way YHC had to stop to retie his shoe, it’s always this pair, always the right one. So I chose to keep a brisker pace in order to catch back up the the pack O’ scramblers each of the 5000 times it happened!

    MARY

7 minutes more, the better to kill the core! 100x OYO:
LBCs, 100s, Freddy Mercurys, Flutter Kicks, Roslitas

    COT
Count/name (still no Cowbell). Requesting special intentions for a friend, Bird reminded us that the holidays can be a hard time for some people. YHC took us out with a focus on the value we bring to each other, and the urging to share that value, in whatever form, to others we encounter.

As were were concluding our activities, Waterpick’s Dick Tracy watch went off alerting us all that Cowbell had gone straight to Liz’s Where Ya At to reserve a table for a lil coffeteria . What do ya know, Cowbell showed up after all!

  • Clearing at the Parkโ€ฆ – from Shooter

YHC arrived to a clear park with all the debris cleaned up at the AO including our previous weeks coupons removedโ€ฆ Zoolander seemed to be the only man posting on this Gloom but then he shared that Bird had EHed him, so at that point I knew we would have at least 3. Then out of the darkness Waterpik arrived getting back to his old ways of running to the AO..

Brief warmup of all 10IC Good mornings, Toe Touches, Peter Parkerโ€™s, Parker Peters, Butt kicks, SSH and Mountain climbers.

Different route through Mandeville for 3.9 roughly..

    Appreciate the post gentlemen..

    Till the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!

  • Extra Extra!! – from Shooter

Feeling some swole from the previous days beatdown the Scramble provided less in some categories but Extra in others.. 5 PAX ran through the streets of Mandeville taking a different path down West Beach to Lakeshore drive and up a fellow F2 brethren who didnโ€™t make it out the sack on this Gloom (Steve) down Monroe and returning to the AO.. Put in between 3.8 and 4 miles depending on the tracking deviceโ€ฆ All in all a nice Gloom with great chatter amongst the PAX as Zoolander and Hammer paced together and YHC, Bird and Waterpik lead the run.. YHC felt like he was special this Gloom running with normal fast pace fellas, however I will comeback down knowing those guys were just demonstrating selflessness as they held back to keep one companyโ€ฆ

Thanks to Waterpik for closing the COTโ€ฆ

Appreciate the post gentlemen and until the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!!

3 PAX posted at the Scramble to run through the streets of Mandeville. After a warmup of Toe touches, Torso twists, Windmills, Imperial walkers, Arm circles, Leg swings in and out and front and back all 10IC. Leaving out the park would throw the first obstacle with our gazebo covered with a tree down. Ran the standard route bypassing the barricades to Sunset point seeing all the crane trucks staged along the way.. Returned to AO and wrapped up with some staggered left/right Merkins 10IC, LBCs, Jane Fondaโ€™s and Flutter kicks..

Count, intentions for a fiend of Waterpik, COT..

  • Some of this and some of that! – from Shooter

6 PAX decided to join YHC this Gloom at the Scramble. Still keeping with the primary goal of running on our Thursday route I decided to mix in 5 stops along the way with some varying exercises at each stop. Having the return of Sir Bushwacker promised to fill the Gloom with welcomed chatter all the while Jose10k and Cowbell ran the streets of Mandeville at their own pace..

    Brief warmup
15IC Monkey humpers, grass grabbers, SSH, Scorpion kicks and then lizard crawl for about 30 feet.

Off we went cutting off the circle and stopping at Monroe and the gate to the pier twice and once at the end of the pier for reps of 5,10,15. These included Body builders, Merkins, Shoulder taps, squat jumps, squats, leg lunges, freak Nasties, Irwinโ€™s and Carolina dry docks..

Once back at the AO we wrapped up with some core LBCs, scissor kicks, hello Dollies, Rosalitas, freddie Mercurys and leg ups while each PAX completed reps of 10 pull-ups and 10 chin ups.

PAX finished with Count, Annouce and COT

YHC prayed out the PAX with intentions for Waterpiks patient and Cowbells travels this weekend..

Appreciate the follow men and until the next Gloom ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ!!

  • Firsts – from Waterpik

YHC and bypass logged about 3 miles in the gloom. It was the first scramble for bypass. Hereโ€™s hoping for many more.

  • Gnarly Hangover – from Zoolander

Four veteran pax converged upon the Scramble this Thursday morning. Admittedly, none of us posted at the Gnarley Nutria, so we at least had an excuse to be well rested. We warmed up with 10 IC SSH, Toe touches, windmills, Apollo Ohnos, and 41 merkins OYO. Ran the normal route with minimal disruption from the deluge remnants that plagued Mandeville earlier in the week. Steve and Bushwacker carried the 12, while Shooter and YHC unabashedly represented the 6. Cooled down with a 4-exercise circuit on the playground equipment: pull ups, leg lifts, chest presses, and hyperextensions. Count, name, pray, out.

Great to be with you fellas early in the morning. SYITG.
