PAX: Hammer, Akbar, Moby Dick, BBQ, Barely Legal, Jose 10k, F3 Northshore, The Gipper

Conditions: Clear, 72°F, Feels like 73°F, Humidity 80%, Wind 1mph from NE

Warm Up x 10 IC mostly: SSH, IW, Hillbillies, Cherry Pickers, Arm Circles F/B, Self-Love, Grass Grabbers

Thang 1: Rock Garden for Curls and 45 degree shoulder press x 10 IC, 3 sets. Much shorter than Mavericks nightmare last week.

Thang 3: 11’s on the Justice Center Stairs. Merkins at bottom, Y Supermans at top, 5 Calf Raises every 4 steps on the way up.

Turbo Dog took a dump at the entrance to the Justice Center, possibly a metaphor for some. Then 2 ladies made their way up the stairs saying hello to Hammer.

Finishing 11’s we helped Moby look for a cleanup device, which was found, and while Moby was cleaning up we did Freak Nasties and Dirkins on the benches IC
    .
5 minutes left, Mosey back to the invisible flag for E2k both sides x 10 IC

    Countorama, Nameorama

TopGun 2 movie at The Movie Tavern 8:45 tonight.
The Elite Part 2 at the Lakefront Saturday with Tanked Up!
Sign up to Q and write a backblast!

COT: Hammer prayed us out with thoughts of BBQ’s mom who is doing better and his new grandchild, the school shooting last week, Ukraine, and a wayward bullet killing a lady at a graduation at Xavier recently.

Thanks for following my lead – SYITG. Akbar

  • Fire Fighter Challenge Part Deux – from Bushwacker

I feel I’ve been so delinquent in my commitment to F3 lately and it showed as I tried to start the warmorama. IMHO (as the kids put it), that delinquency continued right on through the beat down with my unorganized leadership, chaotic participation, and off-the-cuff modifications. But YHC brought the coupons, set the games in motion, and we all watched with little surprise as the former Marsh Madness champion and current King of Distain quite literally ran away with the Badaxe award this go ’round. Nonetheless, all men (regardless of age) put forth an effort most valiant indeed!

    WARMORAMA
As previously mentioned, QIC felt entirely out of practice, forgetting exercise names, miscalling cadences, and generally flubbing my return. But PAX kept showing up until the ranks grew to a respectable number. Even after out our mosey to the shaft, Grundy popped up to fiddle around with our tires.

    THANG
    Farmer’s Carry
    Sledge Hammer Tire
    Tire Flip
    Tire Pull
    Prisoner’s Carry
    Tire Drag
    Chain of Doom
    Lunge Walk

Teams of 2-3 did 3 1 minute rounds switching between the coupon and plank or al gore. We kept this up until, with 5 minutes remaining, the 4 bad asses competing for the Badaxe award ran the tire drag for time. As previously mentioned, our own reverend pastor preacher man took home the prize… until next time!

    COT
On the spot we carried out count/nameorama, with zoo having departed prematurely. I appreciate you guys. I cherish my time with you guys. Many many thanks!

  • Rock – Smurph – from Mahatma

Yep Bolt and Charmin didn’t see it coming as they both had notice that the real HIMs were going to Fracs announced Murph starting late for those who wanted to sleep in or get up an extra 45 minutes early (if you live in the rural) “Metry/RiverRidge” area to make the 30-40 minute drive uptown for Biebers announced 1/2 Murph. After a week of pure business travel – out of town out of touch returning to indulge in the Memorial Day weekend – now a little beat up from all the festivities the plan was Very simple – show up with a big speaker – Rock playlist and the idea of a Smurph. Had Bolt arrived ahead of YHC with his mini Bose the BB could be a completely different narrative yet we all have those eye opening experiences…….Smurph you say?! I’m sure there was a feeling of being trapped as we slow moseyed with speaker in hand towards the playground yet neither showed any fear so after a quick warm up the Smurph was on for time – 1/2 mile run 10 rounds of 5 pull ups, 10 merkins and 15 squats finished by another 1/2 mile run. Once done we had some time for stretching and a little Mary. Tenderloin did his laps and sitting a spell or 2 or……

COT where we gave thanks, asked for God’s Grace on our intentions and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Closed with the pledge of allegiance.

All said some things are best accomplished when we simply put our heads down and do it.

  • The Murph – from Fracsac

7 HIMs met at the Foundry at 0630 for a testosterone fest also known as The Murph. CoT included a moment of silence to honor those fallen and remembered on this Memorial Day. Not only did SOGO finish first at 33:36 (or something like that) he also was a single post to the 0530 Swolefest AO. All pax finished under 45 minutes! T-Claps!!

Thanks for making me a better man!

    SYITG

  • The MURPH – from Jose10k

It was simple: 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and 2 miles. We had split off into different groups of different levels, but in the end it was 14 of my F3 brothers completing the Murph this morning. COT, Hammer prayed us out with special intentions for TruCoats friend and Zoolanders father.

  • A few is all you need.. – from Shooter

With plenty of regular PAX out of town or heading out of town YHC anticipated a lite showing.. Steve and Hammer ready as Q rolled up with the sky flashing at times and the hint of the clouds opening up we jumped right in to warmups with 10IC Grass grabbers, Toe Touches, SSH, Butt kicks, leg swings and 15 Merkins followed by 15 squats… Off and running left at Monroe to West beach and left on Lakeshore down to the street right past the bridge another left and up to Monroe back down to Messina and returning to the AO with 3 mins. Held plank and completed some Down Dawg with some lizard stretching.

Thanks to Hammer for praying us out.

    Till the next Gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!
