A strong 5 arrived. Multiple and usual warm ups. Of course I botched the count on a couple. A warm up lap around the top deck. The deck of cards came out. Each suit had an exercise and each card represented the # of exercises, 2 thru 14. The 4 exercises were hand release merkins, copperhead squats, gas pumps and LBC’s. LBC’s were double the card. After each rep we directly stood up from sitting on the pavement to standing up. Using no hands. Or at least we tried. It took some warm up. I do not recall the name of this type of stand up squat. I did them at beat down in St Louis. The one joker was a one star jump every third line across the top deck parking spots. We finished the deck of cards. Nameorama and prayed out. Another great start of the day at the A1C!

Recovering mosey and FLORA!! – from Shooter
With our first cold front upon us, YHC looked to the Exicon for a partner containing coupon routine and FLORA showed herself.. After some chatter under the breezeway with Moby, Fletch and Einstien about Hot Springs AR. and the Diamond
explores toward our north…BBQ comes in hot crunching gravel and exiting his vehicle to confirm our last arrival of the gloom.. We started in with an extended warmup of 20IC Seal jacks, Toe Touches, Imperial walkers, Hillbillies, Butt kicks, Cherry Pickers and Grass Grabbers. We Moseyed around the trailhead toward the courthouse and back around Lola’s with fresh smell
of breakfast in the air.. Upon return we selected our coupons from behind the container and after splitting into 2 groups we commenced to starting in on FLORA.. Completed 100,200,300
with recovery Mosey in between each… The Goblet squat and hold proved most difficult to the Q, as I know this will be felt in the next few days… According to Moby the men of this Gipper morning may be walking with a little swagger in the days to come.. Once complete we closed with Mary consisting of 10 OYO bridges each leg, then alternating toe to heel Jane Fonda’s, half hold Fonda’s and Pulsating Fonda’s all IC 10 count… Wrapped up with 20IC Hello Dollies, Rosalitas and Hands to heels…Appreciate all you single, double and triple respected brethren for the post and allowing me to lead!!!
Until the next Gloom

JCVD has Tunnel Vision – from Russo
YHC was excited to feel temps in the 50s this morning to celebrate the birthday of my favorite 80s action movie star: the Muscles from Brussels, Jean Claude Van Damme. I’m not sure if Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Lionheart, or Double Impact is my favorite movie of his, but they’re all worthy of the title. Let’s go with Double Impact, because JCVD playing the parts of two estranged twin brothers is double the fun. Oh, and America bought Alaska from Russia on this date as well, but that’s way less impactful.
It was great to be joined by a retuning Snapper, and YHC hopes to see him post regularly, as well as Granny’s favorite Steve and her other favorite Bird.
Warmup (All 10-15x IC)
– Seal jacks
– Toe touches

Meet me at Messina and Monroe!! – from Shooter
With humidity and an occasional drizzle 7 PAX converged on the Scramble for a mixup of sorts..
Warmup consist of 12IC SSH, Toe Touches, Imperial walkers, Grass grabbers, Hillbillies and Windmills…Broke into 3 groups Ruckers, Runners and Joggers… Plan was to time out Russo and JV for 10 mins which would hopefully allow them time to get to Messina and Monroe.. Joggers took one direction and the runners another, but all meeting 10 mins later at the corner of Messina and Monroe.. Ruckers dropped their plates and the PAX enjoyed some slight Mosey then increases of 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent effort for roughly 100-150 yards returned with chatter and walk back to start.. R/R backdown and then commenced on our return to the AO..
Overall felt effective and enjoyed the breakup from the norm…
Appreciate the post and Russo praying out the PAX..
Till the next Gloom

F3 Wars Episode 6; The Return of Hogs Breath – from Hogs Breath
On 09 October a cryptic message got sent out on Slack boding of important news. Hogs Breath had returned and would even Q!
28 weeks, well actually 201 days had passed since this lad had graced us with his presence. In Thailand he was deployed with the Navy.
YHC came strolling in the mild gloom. Cool fall weather greeted him. Seven months is a long time, he was interest in wanting to plant a flag. However, the shovel flag remained in the trunk of his cheap old beater-car. He was away so long, the trunk would not even open!
Two showed up to join YHC in beating down our bodies.
The Warmup
Despite being flagless we began with some Toy soldiers and Hip Openors in cadence. Then for distance we performed some Inch Worms and Butt Kicks / High Knees.
The Thing
YHC has let cardio go by the way of the DoDo. So we Mosey’d to pull ups AMRAP and remembered that number. We then Mosey’d to some coupons and returned to the playground. We preformed a workout inspired by Chris Hemsworth preparation for the last Thor movie.
10x
• Bicep Curls
• OH Press
• Tricep Extensions
• Squats
• Bent Over Row
• Twist hugging our coupons
• Chest Press
In between each round we would mosey back to pull-ups and preformed a descending ladder on our max AMRAP (50%, 25%, 25%, amrap….)
Lather, rinse, repeat for a total of 5 rounds.
We then meandered a long way to return the coupons. YHC had a few mins of Mary. And the real closer was 28 Burpee’s based upon the 28 weeks YHC had been departed.During our beatdown the mumblechatter was spent on catching up and all the activities we have such missed!
So even thought the title was Star Wars, the beatdown Marvel, really your Q was just humbled to be back!

Upper Deck with a Deck – from Einstein
Cool – mid 50s atop the Justice Center Parking Garage.
Warmup:
all 15xIC: Toe Touch, Side Straddle Hops, Shoulder Rolls, Imperial Walkers, Arm Circles, Neck RollsThang:
With Deck of Cards, each pax is assigned their suit: Moby-hearts, Jose10K-spades, Hammer-diamonds, Fletch-clubs
one at a time, each pax draws a card, the owner of that suit calls out an exercise of their choice and we do that amount of the card.
The pax came up with a lot of good calls; diamond merkins, seal merkins, standard merkins, burpees, crackin-burpess, man-makers, shoulder-tap merkins, hand-release merkins, squats, lunges, freak nasties, leg lifts, crunches, peter-parkers, etc.
Joker #1 – back-peddle down and up the inclined ramp
Joker #2 – one minute of Rocky BalboaWith continous motion and no laying around, everyone worked up a good sweat.
BBQ missed it all, again – his sweat-o-meter KCC hat would have registered way south of the top squatchee button.
Count-o-rama
The Hammer led us out with a prayer
