  • 11’s Up The Mountain

    It was a lovely morning for 19 men to meet in the gloom to grow and improve themselves.  DISCLAIMER!  Let’s mosey… circle up in front of the Tulane sign:

    -SSH x 30 IC

    -Arm Circles x 30 IC (10 ea dir; front/back/chinook)

    -J-Lo’s x 20 IC

    Let’s head to the bottom of the mountain.  Column of twos and Indian Run to the top.  It’s time to bring 11’s back…we just don’t do them anymore.  At the top, on your own, run to the bottom of the incline, do 10 crossfit merkins, run back up and do 1 WWII sit-ups…run back down and do 9 crossfit merkins, run back up for 2 WWII sit-ups, and keep going until reversed.  After a couple of the young studs finished and planked, the rest of us stopped where we were and headed down the mountain to the lawn in front of touchdown Jesus for some Mary.

    That was fun and we still have time for more Mary:

    After spending two weeks out of the country…and not exercising…there’s no better way to get back into it than to Q at the Foundry.  DISCLAIMER, let’s mosey to the field across the pond from the new Children’s Museum:

    Mosey to the Foundry (outdoor gym behind Christian Brothers School) for five stations:

    -LSS (Low Slow Squats)

    -Dips

    -Box Jumps/Step-ups

    -10 Burpees as the Timer

    Rinse and Repeat…mosey across the field for 20 Merkins…and back to the Foundry for 2 more circuits for a total of four rounds.  Mosey back to the SF just in time for some Mary:

    It’s time for some Spartacus II. The timer on my phone had us working out for 1 minute with a 15 sec rest for each exercise:

    1. Bulgarian Split Lunge (30 sec/ea leg)
    2. Shoulder Press
    3. Goblet Squat
    4. T-pushup
    5. Alternating Step-up w/rock
    6. Squat Press
    7. Side Lunge with Touch (Elf on the Shelf)

    0528 and 9 brave souls emerged to help celebrate my 3 year anniversary (12/6).  Quick DISCLAIMER and let’s mosey…to the first deck of the parking garage.

    Time to head up the mountain.  Single file Indian Run.  On the way up we lost two due to “personal issues”, YHC included.  L-Wire temporarily took the Q.  When YHC returned to the group near the top of the mountain, they were doing Elevator BLIMPS.  (partner up, one runs down one stairwell and up the other while the partner is doing BLIMPS).

    After it was time for Pusharama:

  • 3 Years of Sharpening

    Today was the perfect day to celebrate my 3 year anniversary with F3.

    “Just as a blade may be polished to increase its ability to cut more cleanly, we may be polished by the support of another and more brightly reflect God’s love shining in our lives.”

    DISCLAIMER and let’s get to sharpening…

    Mosey to a nice grassy area for first COP:

  • P2-610 Stomp #118

    P squared…K9’s Puddles and Pace Car joined us on our run this morning.

    After the brutal beatdown of our hamstrings at Rock City (thanks Triple Shift), it was time for a nice and easy run of 20 minutes out on the traditional route past the museum and along the bayou, and back.  Back at the SF, 15 burpees cuz that’s what we do at the Stomp….
