  • Loosely borrowed – from Pass Interference

I’ve made it a habit of piecing together a beatdown by scanning Beatdowns on our website, so why should this be any different? Knowing we had one pax in a long term injury recovery process, and another only joining for the 2nd time, I wanted to make it challenging but not beyond reason.

    So, away we went!

    The warmup:
    – mountain man poopers (since Hogs was here)
    – copperhead squats
    – SSH I think, hard to remember due to lack of sleep

    The thang:
    – First we went near the playgorund, to do a modified “morning call” (which I brought from Badapple AO at #F3Alpha). Instead of everyone doing a set of pullups, I had everyone do dips, while the other pax did merkins, round robin til everyone got their dips in.
    – Then we did a scout run (not sure what to call it), where I had one person run from the playground to the permanent flag in the back of the park, and back, while the other 3 did 5 burpees, 10 squats and 15 big boys. Each man ran and the others completed the exercises.
    – Then it was time to mosy to the trail and do a dora, since there were 4. We split into teams and knocked out 100/200/300 of whatever came to mind at the time.

Mary followed and we made it out alive!

  • Bring up the 6 – from Hogs Breath

YHC arrived at the 007, to find Bumper and an Fng doing a pre-thing!
Pass interference and YHC jumped right in!

Warm up with some toy soldiers, butt, kickers, arm, circles, and SSH.

    The Thang
Everything was built around the number 6. We began an Indian run, last man would perform burpees then sprint to the front. We continued for 12 minutes.
Then mosey over to the playground, one pax would perform six pull-ups, while the other pax performed rest, plank, and LBC.
There were modifications, but still did amazing and kept up!
Then back out to the big field, cones were placed out about 40 yds and we performed six sprints, one at a time, while the others performed some exercises again in a rotating fashion.
The last 12 minutes was the deck of death, 40 seconds on 30 seconds rest. Lather, rinse and repeat.

During the cot when it came time to name our Fng, he voluntarily told his most embarrassing story. He told us of throwing up at a bachelor party after drinking Crown Royal.
    So Royal Ralph was born!

  • 1/3, 3rd, and Third – from Hogs Breath

YHC began a rousing journey toward the 007 only to realize that the garage door was left open. Thus so as not to alarm his M, he returned and faithfully closed the door, thus securing his M!
This did however, make YHC fashionably late to his own Q! So the warm-up was basically skipped…. Albeit Pass Interference was doing his own warmup.

    The Thang
The beatdown was broken down into thirds. The first third was tabata style approximately 40 seconds on 10 seconds rest utilizing the deck o’death.
The 2/3 focused on sprinting, one pax would sprint across the field, while the other pax turned over card and performed the displayed excercise. Lather, rinse and repeat for three iterations.
The last third was a mosey around the park. We finished out with two minutes of Mary.

  • Broga in the park – from Hogs Breath

Two PAX got out of their fartsacks this morning and arrived at the 007.

The pre mumblechatter was who would take the Q. Well YHC had a crick in his neck, so yoga was the designated beatdown of the day! Just a few fellows with no formal yoga training, walking through the body from head to toe. Every several minutes, we would break and take a lap. And ended just on time.

Thank you for the chance to lead these HIM Through a beatdown and COT.

  • The Farmer [walk] in the Dell’ – from Hogs Breath

A beatdown based on farmers walks, so naturally, farmers in the Dell!

YHC arrived at the 007 to find Bumper already walking laps!

It ended up the two of us.
Warm up, some stretching and some IC exercises.

    The Thang
One pax would farmers walk while the other would do an excercise (burpees, merkins, squats, LBC, seal-jacks, raise the roof, and irkens). Once the farmer-walking pax set down the coupons, pax one would take off in a sprint and meet up. The pax would then switch places. We were able to get three laps around the circle.
With about 10 mins left, both pax went on an extended farmers walk with the coupons.

    Ended with COT

  • 40K LBS for 40th birthday bash – from Hogs Breath

YHC woke up to the sounds of thunder and lightning.
The pre-blast had mentioned a ruck prior to the beat down, but the smart thing would be to wait till the lightning pass. So YHC waited some time then arrived at the 007 about 4:50 AM. When all of the sudden Twin Span arrived about five minutes later. The lightning had passed, and the rain was a drizzle. The two yutes got a 1 mile ruck in.
Then, Bushwacker, Murdoch and Pass Interference all arrived on time.
In honor of Hog’s Breath upcoming birthday, today’s beat down was a simple 10 x 10 x 10 coupon workout.
If a typical coupon weighs approximately 40 pounds and multipled by 10 exercises x 10 reps x 10 rounds would mean we would move approximately 40,000 pounds!

    10 curls
    10 overhead press
    10 tricep extension
    10 torso twists
    10 squats
    10 bent over rows
    10 lunges
    10 chest presses.
    10 WWW3 sit ups
    10 calf raises

We converged underneath of the pavilion to shield us from the rain, played some music and began. The rain escalated several times, and quickly drowned out the sound of any music. We were able to get through 10 rounds!
T-claps to Murdoch for his first beat down back, after being injured, all pax rallied behind him and helped him finish his 10th round right on time!

5 packs all got out of their fart sacks, in the rain, to move 40,000 pounds in honor of hog breath 40th birthday!

    Coffeteria followed at Starbucks

  • One, oh One – from Hogs Breath

    One, oh One

So YHC arrived at the 007 about 10 minutes early. And Lo’ no one else arrived!

But this I was out, so

    Warm up
Some karaoke, butt kickers, torso twists, world’s greatest, ya’ know stuff like that.

    The Thing

Mosey’d to the coupon pile and picked out a coupon

    10 manmakers
    15 squats
    20 curls for the girls
    – mosey to pull up bar AMAP

Later rinse and repeat for 4 rounds.
Ran a lap around the park circle.

Round of Thor; with coupon ten reps each of

    Bicep Curl x10
    Overhead Press x10
    Tricep Extension x10
    Squat x10
    Lunge x10
    Bent-over Row x10
    Standing Twists x10

And then I called it. I’ll be hitting the recruitment hard this week

  • Howling Ass and Abs – from Hogs Breath

This backblast, like a woman’s period, is better late than never.

YHC arrived at the A1C about 5 mins early, to find a trio awaiting me!

The very first thing was a warm up mosey to second deck, which included some karaoke, butt kicks and stuff. The warm up also included some toe touches and YHC favorite Mountain Man Poopers.

    The Thing;
We began with a few rounds of Howling monkeys. Which is Monkey Humpers in a circle, the play continued until YHC determined there was enough groaning.

Backwards run to next corner with some Howling V-ups. V-Ups in a circle until YHC determined there was enough groaning.

Backwards run to third corner with Howling Holes. Or squats in a similar fashion.

    See a trend?

Backwards run to last corner with Howling flutter kicks.

Walking lunge down the ramp to the bottom deck. Since the date was 1/19, we did 119 collective wife pleasers!

Mosey back up to second deck and rinse and repeat for the Howling rounds.

What would be an A1C beatdown without some calf raises up to the top deck?

YHC even brought a jug of coffee to have an impromptu Coffeteria. Jose 20K had to leave early otherwise a nice ice cold soda was awaiting for him!

Hopefully four men left the beatdown with better looking Ass and ABs!

  • Squats and Ladders – from Pass Interference

After an abbreviated warmup, YHC chose three stations for a roundrobin of several exercises increasing by 3 @ each station each round. Merkins, squats, lunges, more merkins, and big boys.

Then taking a cue from Hogs, we did a slow mosy around the Christmas lights and stopped for squats at Santa’s sleigh, and some other miscellaney until time was called.

  • Two Recovering Yutes – from Hogs Breath

YHC arrived at the 007. Pauley D lumbered in a few minutes later. The two yutes both got out to some cracking and groaning bodies.
YHC made the audible call and we spent the morning ‘beatdown’ by preforming a recovery mosey and some slow exicon stretches and low impacts (slow butt kicks, grass grabbers, toy soldiers etc).

There are days for going hard, and there are days for recoveries and that’s what these two yutes needed this am
