YHC was first greeted by a gent stopping his car in street to confirm he was at the right spot for F3, which would be his second beatdown. First was Saturday where he was named Sherlock Holmes. 4 more trickled in for an even 6.
Temp was sub freezing but zero wind and a bright full Moon called the Snow Moon.
We grabbed a block per 2 and walked up to LCM for our base.
Moseyed to the Labyrinth for our Warmup as such:
All in cadence…
SSH
Abe bogodas
Low slow squats
Hillbillies
Thai fighters
Mountain climbers
Shoulder taps
Returned to our block base and
Partner for a Dora type Thang.
6 exercises / 100 reps combined with partner with lift of a not terrible playlist.
1. Shoulder press
2. Sumo squat
3. Curls
4. Chest press
5. Rows
6. Lunges (1 is 1)
There was a second round thang planned but had to audible to ensure we got in some running and Monday Mornings.
The Pax ran to the back of NOMA for a scarier version of Sunday Mornings – Monday Mornings, which is a Sunday Morning routine with a Burpee to finish. We accomplished 3 and ran back to the blocks which returned to the normal Swole Fest locale.
With about 4 mins to spare we finished with a Mary of J Lo’s, Freddie Mercuries, and Hello Dolly’s. Wasn’t planned that way but worked nicely by coincidence with The Grammy’s last night.
We did a couple stretches which carried us into COT – where prayers were offered for Brady and his caregivers, traveling spouses and their homes whilst away, and friends and family battling cancer.
I don’t lead enough in the gloom but when I do I never regret it and feel it challenges me more and requires me to be present so here’s to taking advantage of more opportunities this year and I’m predicting there will NOT be an extended Winter.
