The night before provided warnings on the phone, banners on the TV and meteorological insights on every station. YHC couldn’t help but think how our ancestors must be looking down upon us laughing, at the overthinking and fear mongering that takes place in our society.
Don’t mistaken my sarcasm or light heartedness at the weather events our region experienced last night. I surly understand it creates fear in some and brings destruction to others and I don’t want to be mistaken as not having empathy nor compassion. All I am saying is before all of the advances in technology everyday people simply conducted business as usual no matter what the circumstances. And that is what I want my title of this BB to reflect.
No matter rain or dry, cold or hot one can always count on certain individuals showing up.
Waterpik exemplifies all 3. I cannot recall a Thursday in F3 where he didn’t show (without notifying ahead of time). Whether cold, hot, tornadoes, hurricanes you name it Waterpik will indeed post.. Now the bad thing for me being a Rucker mostly, I had to step up my game and decide to run no matter how slow or painful, but when it was completed I was both excited and grateful I had. All of you (1or2 people) 😬 out there reading this should know. No matter the pace, a man such as Pik will adapt, engage in conversation and when all is done you will quickly realize how much better the day will be having spent that time in the Gloom with someone of his caliber..
After brief warmup, old route with double loop..
Appreciate the post Ole Timer, Ole faithful and Ole reliable..
Until the next gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!!!
