The rain had moved on, but the AO was still a marshland from the flag to the levee. Temps hovered in the 60s with the humidity finally backing off just enough to make for prime Okwata conditions.

At 0528, YHC and one lonely soul exchanged that familiar “is this really happening?” look before the rest of the pax slowly emerged from the darkness. Hawgcycle rolled in right at 0530, bringing the total to six strong: Hawgcycle, Coxswain, Mayhem, Bongo, YaMomAnEm, and FracSac. Six is a solid number. Six… seven… whatever.

Disclaimer was delivered, then the pax moseyed around the fountain and circled up front for the warmup. Standard issue movements to lull everyone into a false sense of security before things escalated.

From there, down to the lakefront for a modified Route 15 — not enough time for Route 66 this morning. Pax hit burpees at each light pole descending from 5 down to 1.

* Hawgcycle logged his highest load ever, though his facial expression made it abundantly clear he was hoping Coxswain had the Q instead of YHC.
* Mountain climbers were called during the dispersed run, and it has officially been ruled that “the hard way” means a true 4-count cadence. “2 is 1” arguments hold no authority here.
* Bongo spent part of the workout complaining about Qs dragging him through puddles, only to later splash directly through a massive one the rest of the pax avoided — grinning the entire time.
* T-Claps to YaMomAnEm for stepping up as Site Q and bringing fresh energy back into the AO.
