The mumblechatter the night before included bold proclamations of sprints by The Architect and Whistlepig, while Bolt teased a ruck appearance. Knowing Triple Shift was rucking, YHC confidently arrived at 5:31am expecting to not be the last one there.
The results were shocking.
There was hemming. There was hawing. There was even some finger pointing.
Fracsac reluctantly marched to his truck to retrieve his rucksack after realizing his sprinting “friends” had abandoned him. The Pipe Man (aka PVC) appeared to use his t-shirt as his rucksack, which raises many questions and answers none of them. He almost kept up.
And off the five amigos went.
Route:
1/2 way around the track → between the bleachers and gym → Falcon → Duplessis → Stella → Northline → Woodvine → Falcon… then decision time.
Left it was. The long way to the flag.
We rolled back to the flag at 6:16am, late only because Triple Shift had to tie his shoe at mile marker 0.63, delaying the group approximately 37 seconds according to highly scientific calculations.
With no Q signed up, the group stared awkwardly at one another until Fracsac simply declared: “ONE.”
And just like that, YHC was anointed Q.
