Typical Monday morning in June, hot, humid with the possibility of rain or not. YHC had a plan as he invited an FNG over the weekend to whom credit is to be given – drizzle this AM – text “Still on even in this rain?” – reply “Yes Sir” So YHC pulls up finishing his prep on the beat down – walk into the cage at 5:30 seeing the FNG and few other “welcoming” faces the disclaimer was given. Not sure anyone believed the statement that I cared about their health and wellness as it relates to a workout so note to self to work on better interpersonal communication of that perception.

Mosey towards the rocks, circle up for warm up.

Grab a rock head to the pull up bars, in the process YHC drops his phone having run back leaving pax to complete 3 rounds of 3 PUs. Upon his return there was some grumbling he had to now complete 3 rounds yet none of that was heard as we now had work to do.

What started as a partner effort was quickly released that both communication and listen skills failed so YHC converted to OYO

Head back to the pen. Triple feeling good takes a fast pace so the young FNG was out to prove his “yutefulness” and raced him to the finish – edging the old man out.

Explanation of COT – count off NameORama, then naming of FNG Dustin – who started telling us about himself with plenty of good stuff, accomplishments even, then he started telling us about his wife (very sweet young lady) and her accomplishments to which YHC commented it should be about you however he let gem fall out that she was a great bowler and beats his ass – Bogey picks up on this and calls out “Gutter-ball”, YHC was not listening to anything else the name was perfect and given….welcome Gutter-ball!
