YHC was the first to arrive at The Gipper this morning, and having a few minutes to myself, I decided to take a stroll around the property. I was surprised to see that the homeless gentleman who generally sleeps on a bench in the covered alleyway next to the Trailhead Visitor’s Center/Museum was not present. In fact, I don’t recall seeing him for a while. But we stopped going back in that area to steal requisition some of the city’s cinder blocks (coupons) stacked behind a storage container out back. Mostly because they moved them somewhere else and we can’t find them. So I’ll have to make the appropriate inquiries about both.

The PAX (mostly) assembled at 6AM where it was a balmy 75 degrees. We started right on time, with Moby Dick coming in hot around 6:02, mumbling something about his dog eating his homework sleeping late, causing him to be late. And we were off to the races…

Intermission
Mosey to the Courthouse, with 2 stops – (1) at the Gipper statue and, (2) at the Rock Pile at the end of the newly blacktopped portion of the Trace that runs behind Lola. Each stop included American Hammer x 10, WWII Sit-Ups x 10, Supermans x 10.

Thang II
Sevens at the Courthouse – Freak Nastys on benches at the bottom, Sprint to and up the steps, Burpees at the top, Mosey back to the bottom via the handicapped ramp, and repeat.

Postlude
Mosey back to the Gipper, with same 2 stops and exercises as the initial trip, followed by some choose your own adventure (Mary) consisting of Hello Dollys x 10, Wife Pleasers x 10 and Jane Fondas x 10 (each side).

Finale
All in all, it seemed like a solid entry for the Gipper’s record books. We finished up with COT, announcements, and prayers for those suffering in Nepal and for the friends suffering at home.
