Boo Boo likes chasing rabbits, and he’s agreed to Q a beat down with that theme as the premise. It’ll be Epic!
Charmin has a gift for sarcasm, which makes him ideal for F3. His Qs are gonna be the best.
PVC has embraced this F3 Thang with 7 consecutive posts! T-Claps

  • It Was A Painful Morning – from Fast Tax

    Saturday, March 5, 2022
It had been almost a year since YHC Q’d Mothership so I was rather looking forward to it…at least Friday evening. After a long night entertaining the relatives and drinking waaayyyy too much wine, I finally hit the bed sometime around 1 or 2am. Needless to say, when the alarm went off at 6:00, I knew it was going to be a very painful morning. Nevertheless, Tax Credit and I managed to get there just in time.

After disclaimer was given, 8 Pax moseyed to the parking lot for some warmups consisting of SSH, Abe Vigodas, Nancy Kerrigans, and Hairy Rockettes. YHC’s inability to do the left side of the Nancy Kerrigans did not escape the attention/commentary of those in attendance…

Unwilling to jump right into the highly anticipated main event, YHC kicked things off with 50 ish yards of Welsh Dragons.
Welsh Dragons: While remaining in plank position, PAX bear crawls forward 5 yds, does 1 merkin, 1 plank jack, and tap the BACK of each shoulder 1 time. Repeat adding 1 rep to each exercise each 5 yds – bear crawl forward 5 yds, do 2 merkins, 2 plank jacks, 2 sets of back of shoulder taps… etc. We continued until we got to 10 reps each (I think), holding plank for rest of PAX to finish.

Next bit of fun was the Indian Crab Walk Snake with a crabby wife pleaser twist at the end.
Indian Crab Walk Snake: While lined up on your six doing LBCs, the guy in the back crabwalks to the front, weaving in and out of the PAX as he makes his way to the front where he performs two crabby wife pleaser merkins. As each PAX makes it to the front, the guy in back starts, at least in theory…It seems this proved too difficult b/c when YHC got to the front and looked back, there were at least three crabs heading his way.

With time to spare, YHC thought Indian Rabbit Hop , sure, why not…
Indian Rabbit Hop: PAX lines up, face down in plank position, all facing left with 2-3 feet between PAX. Last man broad-jumps over the planking PAX to the head of the line, Indian Run style. We continued cycling through until Q said stop.
After retrieving his balls and cones, and dishing out a few penalty burpees, we headed to the Great Lawn for BATTLE FRISBURPEE.
After a quick recap of the rules for PAX in attendance, we divvied up into teams and began to battle.

Team 1 (black shirts): Almonaster, Tax Credit, Willie, War Eagle
    Team 2 (non-black shirts): Boo-Boo, Fast Tax, King-Kong, Mahatma

The battle was hard fought and close…ish. Several PAX took advantage of the “last one touched” rule to strategically hit members of the opposing team that guarded too closely (mostly YHC), forcing them to stop and do 3 burpees. Almonaster learned (repeatedly) that you can be hit by the Baller even if you aren’t holding the Frisbee. Meanwhile, more than once, War Eagle’s demonstration of full-contact Frisburpee in a prior game was revisited on him and his teammates.

Even though YHC’s referee skills maintained a fair and level playing field, Team 2’s victory was decisive with a final score of 6 to 2.

With game over we headed to COT for name-o-rama, announcements, intentions, and prayer.
Breakfast at Café Navarre followed for most.

    Thanks for the fellowship!

  • Day One of Lent – from Boo-Boo

Five PAX braved the 48-degree, post-Mardi Gras gloom to start Lent off right! Disclaimer given and mosey to the rock pile. Vagabond was a little behind to bring the real wood donated by Scantron.

Warmup: 31 SSH, 15 GG, Batwings, LSS, and Toy Soldiers (hairy rockettes)

Grab a rock you can lift over your head at least 100 times.

Three rounds of the following were completed:

    25 triceps extension/chest press
Run 50 yards out, 10 mountain climbers (2 is 1), and back

    25 rows
Run 50 yards out, 10 plank jacks (2 is 1), and back

    25 squat, curl
Run 50 yards out, 10 American Hammers (2 is 1), and back

1 minute low plank just for good measure!

Coupons returned. Lazy Boyz and dips completed near the rock pile. Indian run back to the flag handing off the 60 poundish wood!

COT- Prayers for Brian suffering with ALS, Tara fighting breast cancer, and YHC’s M for a clean bill of health.

120% participation at coffeteria (Triple Shift attended despite no workout)

It’s always an honor to lead HIM!

  • Some Ruck & some ladder – from Hokie

Boo Boo and I tucked down the levee and back 2.28 miles while TSquare, Slinger & Firefox did ladder drills

  • Minimal run at The Scrum – from Boo-Boo

Tired and sore from the weekend, YHC was greeted by a very chipper Vagabond and Fracsac. Hokie looked like I was feeling, and RevSox (the guy who is from the most northern latitude of all of F3 NOLA) expressed his disdain for the cold, despite having less exposed skin than any of the other PAX.

A very short mosey to the running path for normal warmup exercises and mountain man poopers. 100% dancing participation was noted during Moroccan Nightclubs. It was that kind of morning.

To RevSox’s dismay, there was a clandestine agreement not to run on this particular morning. Instead, our mode of transportation would be Boo-Boo style BLIMPS, which consisted of karaoke and Bernie Sanders while traveling to each bench. At each bench along the way to the soccer field, the PAX did the following:

    10 burpees
    20 Lunges (2 is 1)
    30 Incline merkins
    40 Monkey humpers
    50 Pickle pounders
    60 Squats

Once at the soccer field and again to the dismay of RevSox bc of burpees and the lack of running, the 300 was explained. PAX paired off in corners of half of the soccer field. PAX 1 of each group would begin an exercise designated to that corner, while the other PAX completed 10 burpees, then they switched. PAX 2 would pick up where PAX 1 left off in the count. Rinse and repeat until 75 of the designated exercise was completed. Then both PAX would bear crawl in a counterclockwise direction to the next corner to complete 75 reps of another exercise in the same format. The designated exercises for this 300 were Squats, Shoulder taps, LBCs, and Merkins.

After completing the 300, it was over to the bleachers for a round of 20 dips followed by right leg step ups, then 20 more dips, followed by left leg step ups.

A mosey back towards the flag to keep RevSox happy. Ended with four minutes of
    Mary.

    COT and done!

Leading a group of leaders is always an honor.

  • 25 was the number of the day! – from Boo-Boo

    Mothership

It’s no secret, YHC does not like cold weather. Upon arrival, the air temp was 34ish with a stiff north wind bringing windchills to 25 degrees. Days of rain preceding created damp and cold! Catfish shows up in a t-shirt and shorts, but at least he had shoes and socks.

A short mosey to the parking lot across from the flag for what one would think are normal warmup activities; HOWEVER, choosing to forego Moroccan Nightclubs during arm warmups brought us to what only YHC can describe as near mutiny. Therefore, Moroccan Nightclubs were completed out of order, which barely fixed the problem.

After the warmup debacle, PAX moseyed to NOMA for the following:

25 merkins, mosey around NOMA x4

    Plank Jack waiting for 6

    25 X-factors (2 is 1) mosey halfway around NOMA x4

    Plank Jack waiting for 6

Next a mosey to the Children’s Museum to take advantage of the coupons. Three rounds of the following were completed:

    25 triceps extension/chest press
50 yards, 10 mountain climbers (2 is 1), and back

    25 squat, curl
50 yards, 10 mountain climbers (2 is 1), and back

    25 rows
50 yards, 10 mountain climbers (2 is 1), and back

Coupons returned and mosey back to the flag for some Mary and a mosey around the parking lot to give us 3 miles towards RCR.

    COT and coffeteria followed.

It is always a privilege to lead a group of leaders. And a special thanks to Catfish for pushing me to commit to a Mothership Q. It was good to be back!
