Summer Sticky weather at Pontiff. Architect and I watched the clock hit 5:29am, thinking it may just be 2 of us. But lo and behold – as the clock hit 5:30am, 2 bikers and one walker pulled in at the virtual flag. So 5 of us kick started the week right.
Quick warmup and head to the rocks. Find a newly weighed rock. YHC found a 38 pounder – and secretly smiled a bit as Mr Rogers complimented him on the size of his rock(s). But among this group of many men, YHC’s rock was definitely smallest.

7 Brickees, 14 Merkins, 21 BBSU, 28 Squats. In between each, rifle carry about 20 yards and 7 overhead presses. Finish up with 7 burpees.
Then reverse it – 28, 21, 14 and 7. In between this time, lunge walk the same distance and 7 jump squats.
Head to the gym. Kevin Garnett has shamed today’s NBA players for lack of calf strength, blaming the rash of Achilles tears on poor fitness. So lets do some leg work.
25 Calf Raises, 20 Monkey Humpers, 10 Curls (slooow cadence)

15, 12, 6
10, 8, 4
5, 4, 2
Much to Mayhem’s chagrin, the cadence kept getting slower as the rep count got smaller.
Time to return the rocks and head back to the flag.
