The Worst Elevens (Not Rudy’s 11s) – from DAX

Backblast
Date: 8.2.2025
AO: Mothership
Q: DAX
Total:

Pax: DAX, FracSac, Revit, Catfish, Bogey, Tool, New Guy, Rudy, Jager, Mayhem, Babyface, Smooth

I woke up several times during the night, not wanting to be late or oversleep for this Q. Of course this also had the effect of making me more exhausted after Friday’s banger of a QvQ. Hat’s off to Pinewood for combining 11s with Route 66, and then making use of the levy. For the
Mothership I wanted to do something that had been gnawing at me, since Rudy introduced it to us in June–11s with Rocks aka The Worst 11s, it definitely not to be called, “Rudy’s 11s”. Never.

Warmup:
SSH x20
Hill Billies X20
Abe Vigodas x10
Worlds Greatest Stretch
Mountain Climbers x 10
Parker Peters/Peter Parkers x10
Dying Cockroach x10

Grab Rock, mosey to Great Lawn. line up along the side of the Great Lawn. Drop your Rock off in the center of the lawn.
The Worst 11s.- 8count bodybuilders, Big Boy Situps
Like regular 11s, Start with 10 8counts, run to the center of the field, you do 11 OH presses with the rock. Run to the other side, do 1 Big Boy Situp. Then backwards run back to the other side, stopping in the center of the field to do 11 curls with the rock.
These were as advertised. A time suck, a grind, pick your adjective. The New Orleans humidity added to the fun, but not as much fun as Mayhem and Rudy bickering and stealing/moving each others rocks.
We finished with a 30 count to cool off, brought to you by a Hammond Lumber, downeast Maine’s finest lumbah distributor. Hey, IYKYK. Pax finished in style, returned the rocks to their normal resting place.

Mosey to Great Lawn for

4 Corners Escaltor
Corner 1: 10 burpees
Corner 2: 20 Bonnie Blairs
Corner 3: 30 freddy mercury’s
Corner 4: 1 min plank, done as a group.

We then had 3 min left, so time for Ab Circle, where we did V-ups, partner pushes (aka hip thrusters) and Rosalitas. I would be remiss if I didn’t note that for the first time ever, a Q started with Doctor Ws and stopped after 1 because I realized I had no idea what I was doing. Fantastic. The Pax were impressed, and many laughs were had as we moseyed to flag for COT. Hey, we’re here for a good time, not for a long time.

Mosey to flag, count off, name-o-rama and COT.

COT
Sweaty ball of man. This world is unfair, and cruel. There are kids in danger, starving, and men refusing to help. Powerful people want you to believe there’s “sides” to things like this. They’re wrong. People don’t want kids harmed and starved. It’s not that hard, but it is frustrating as there’s very little I can do to change the suffering I see in the news.
Here’s what I do know. I’m incredibly fortunate. In 2 weeks I’m going to an F3 Dads’ Camp in South Carolina. My son loves it, he gets to play archery tag, swim and be involved with general boy shenanigans. I get to catch up with some HIMs from Charleston, it’s a win win. It is not lost on me that others would kill for the problems I have. Let’s all be thankful for the challenges we face and lives we live. We are blessed to have both.
Closed with Our Father.
