YHC had a feeling several PAX were staring at their phones at 5:00am, radar in one hand, courage in the other… 6 made the right decision
Friendly reminder that core principle #3 is
HELD OUTDOORS – Rain or shine, hot or cold, we are out there.
Conditions: 69° and barely a breeze out of the north, basically perfect
No Q at 5:26am upon arrival. No problem at 5:30am.
Disclaimer given and off we moseyed to the parking lot by the Broga pavillion.
Frac arrives late with “What if I signed up to Q?”
WOR: standard stuff… with a few backwards moves thrown in for Architect, who thrives on confusion or being quasi left-handed
Thang 1:
Next parking lot
Ladder BLIMPS bear crawling out and mosey back
5 BBSU (burpee substitute — YHC still in negotiations with his back, Frac the one obsessed with burpees even in May couldn’t modify)
+10 Lunges (2-is-1… except for Architect, who operates on his own counting system)
+15 IW (Fast Tax still reacclimating… briefly thought IW = HB)
+20 Merkins (one of the few universally understood movements)
+25 PJs
+30 Squats (HG quietly did 97 while everyone else planked, then gave up and did MCs)
Frac states again “What if I signed up to Q?”
Thang 2:
Broga pavillion
Dips, bulgarian split squats, derkins, bulgarian split squats, dips (all IC)
Thang 3:
Back of the gym
Wall sit
Regular calf raises IC
Right leg calf raises IC
Left leg calf raises IC
Irkins OYO
Monkey humpers IC
Wall sit – Right leg wall sit – left leg wall sit
Toes in calf raises IC
Toes out calf raises IC
Irkins IC
Monkey humpers IC
And again… Frac announces “What if I signed up to Q?”
Thang 4:
Big Bang
Plank to SSH OYO
Plank to LBCs IC
HS IC
ST IC
MAYHEM MERKINS IC (just because)
To the Flag
COT
Announcements
Intentions: British Martin going through family stuff, Fast Tax’s aunt, all those brothers battling cancer and other diseases
Prayer
NMM
Like the many PAX that didn’t post, I considered the same, but so glad that I started my day off with these HIMs doing this stuff.
Sometimes I spend more than 30 minutes planning a beatdown as Q. Today… less than 30 seconds. It was fun.
The post-beatdown coffee was quite entertaining. We are lucky to be able to laugh that hard before the clock turns 7am. Still unclear what Bogey was actually drinking… but it wasn’t coffee.
The answer, Frac: “I guess we will never know.”
