It was back to school at the AO this morning, and class was officially in session. The rules were simple: Mr. Anderson’s classroom, Mr. Anderson’s rules. We tackled a ladder workout built around the grade levels, starting with one burpee in first grade and adding a new exercise with each promotion all the way through twelfth grade. Between every “grade,” the class had to sprint across the top level of the parking garage, head down to the first floor, cross it, and climb all the way back to the top before advancing. By the time we reached graduation, everyone had stacked together burpees, uneven merkins, diamond merkins, ranger merkins, monkey humpers, jump squats, Bobby Hurleys, lunges, big boy sit-ups, scissor kicks, flutter kicks, and one final round of big boy sit-ups, with plenty of stairs and running mixed in to keep the heart rates pegged.
We wrapped things up in prayer with special intentions for all of the teachers heading back into the classroom as another school year begins. Wacker takes the Q tomorrow, and the Turkey Trot continues to creep closer, so there’s no shortage of motivation to keep showing up. Another great morning with a solid group of HIMs putting in honest work before the rest of the world hit snooze. Happy 6 years anniversary to the A1C! Jose 10K out.
