The Perfect Okwata – from YaMomAnEm

Mid 70s with plenty humidity. Summer at Okwata is rapidly approaching!
YHC has brought much needed life to Okwata.

Mosey toward Canal to warm up. Done.

Thang one – partner up
One pax runs to top of Canal, cross over and run down. Second pax does an exercise.
YHC had trouble with these clowns doing a warmup so had to keep it simple. Exercises were calf raises, flutter kicks and plank (do a few merkins too). Frac was confused on the flutter kicks, not sure what he was doing but he was proud of it.

Thang two – Bernie Sanders over and back across the levee. It’s not rocket science guys, just run backwards. The pax struggled so time to move on.

Thang three – not sure how high these goofs can count, but pretty sure 11 would be way too complicated so YHC had them do 7s. On one side of levee do jump squats and Carolina dry docks on the other side. Frac kept asking what number we were on so I just started randomly calling out animal names like giraffe and Komodo dragon. He seemed content and none the wiser.

Head to Lake front for some Mary

YHC told the pax to circle up which they did not. Geometry is hard you know.
Went around the odd shaped gathering having the pax lead exercises. When it came to Frac he asked what number we were on, which YHC responded Duck. That seemed to snap him out of it, leading to him calling out burpees. He obviously didn’t hear the Mary part. Regardless he brought perfection to Okwata with 10 burpees IC with perfect form. That guys not too bright but he does ok on cadence. Not sure if he can get past 10 though.
When it was Coxswains turn he started bragging about how great he is at rowing. He’s slowly renaming the Exicon to reflect rowing terminology.

We moved on to some step ups and dips until it was time to mosey back to the flag.
