This was my first time officially (read: voluntarily) leading the PAX at the AIC, with my name on the signup sheet and everything. This followed 2 years of being mostly a participant, not counting a couple of last minute fill-ins and any self-imposed periods of hibernation during the coldest months of the year. Of course, there was some good-natured razzing, complete with an AI mockup poster announcing this event as if it were WrestleMania sent to all A1C regulars. Well played, Jose10K.
It was a typical Friday in August…somewhere near 80 degrees in the not-yet daybreak morning. Additions to our regular lineup of well-seasoned men full of wisdom included Hogs Breath all the way from the far reaches of Slidell and Shooter from the fine City of Mandeville, where one lives the high life if one can afford the homeowners insurance.

We ended things on schedule at 6:00AM in the COT, with a Count-off, Prayer of Thanks for Grandkids new and old and in appreciation for our F3 Brothers. The intensity level seemed to be a real “crowd pleaser,” with Einstein even noting that even his legs were sweating. I gotta say it was a good day.
* For the uninitiated, “I gotta say it was a good day” is a line from the 1993 rap song It Was a Good Day by Ice Cube.
