Some ran , some ran faster, some rucked , some rucked faster. Intentions for Coachella

  • Burning the candle on both ends – from Waterpik

8pm baseball games aren’t conducive to gloomy Mondays at the marsh. But that’s what it was.

After hitting the playground for pull-ups, the pax hit the street.

The order of the gloom was 4 comers with the following exercises: merkins, sister mary Katherine’s, Peter Parker’s, Stone Mountains,

    Have a good week guys

  • Pain for Paine – from Jose10k

13 men took the red pill for the annual Murph at the Marsh. 1 mile first, then 20 rounds of 5 pull ups, 10 merkins, 15 squats, followed by another mile. Some modified, others intensified. Hammer prayed us out while Truecoat told us of an amazing man: Cpt Paine.
Thank y’all for posting. Extra prayers and thoughts to the family of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. SYITG

  • Are you calling me fat? – from The Hammer

5 took the red pill this warm and humid morning. Activities at the playground/workout equipment. 5 rounds of max out pull-ups and 10 IC ab exercise. Jose10k apparently chose to do ab exercises that didn’t cause him pain. This angered Bushwacker. You are supposed to follow the Q, he yelled.. Then Bushwacker attempted to compliment Jose. Hey Jose, I am impressed with your dedication and consistency with your posting. Jose replies: “Thanks Bush” Bushwacker responds” You think you’d be in better physical shape with all those posts” Ouch!. That’s cold Wacker. I heard Jose has been eating his feelings this morning.

Anywho, another lap. Rinse and repeat replacing pull-ups with merkins. Jose left early, hurt by Wacker, but sometimes the truth hurts.

  • Anyone Home? – from Shooter

Hello! Good morning! Are you alright? Anyone there? Give us something already sir Wacker..
5 PAX converged on grandma’s place with all types of chatter. However, one PAX needed a little more warming up to the Gloom to get it started, while others were primed and ready to deliver..Akbar surprised us all posting on this Gloom, and Jose10k wasted no time grilling why he missed the Marsh on Monday when he was signed up to Q. After debate back and forth for a min YHC got the PAX warmed up with 10IC arm circles, Cherry pickers, Imperial walkers and hillbillies. Moseyed halfway around to the stage with instructions provided for the walls of Jericho.
7 reps each exercise followed by 7 moseys around the trailhead.
    8 count bodybuilder
    Jump squats
    Groiners
    Carolina dry docks
    Donkey kickoffs
    Apollo Onos
    Merkins

With 2 mins remaining ETKs 15IC each side..

Circled up, count annouce and COT..

    Until the next gloom 👊🏼👍🏼✌🏼!!!

  • I am no Gambler, but if I was… – from Shooter

Well the Lord above bestowed yet another beautiful morning following the downpours of the previous day.. Something certainly felt different about the Gloom, especially to have such cool temps in May.. YHC arrived to a fellow PAX in Steve, illuminated by his matching fluorescent green run shirt.
No Jose10k? That is odd, but could it be turning the corner? Nope, it’s Waterpik with his consistency that never fails..Then all of sudden here comes Jose10k rolling in hot.
As he is sharing the EHing of Coachella and JV two cars round the corner.
Could it be the headlock coming to fruition?
One car swings in with Akbar and then a mysterious vehicle of sorts rolls into Wacker or Cowbells parking area… Wait, what?
It can’t be 0514 and out pops Cowbell..
All we can say is where is Hammer?
This is a monumental day at the Scramble possibly never to be duplicated again…
Anyways, if I were a betting man today would be the day I might just take the chance and let it ride.

    Brief warmup
Standard route double loop and added park path.
20 merkins, LBCs, Jane Fonda’s with pulses and 20 merkins.

Appreciate the chatter and the post gents.

Prayers for Waterpik’s graduates, Cowbells travels and in-laws return, as well as my coworker battling through Chemo.

    Legals host this Saturday evening.

    Until the next Gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!
