    Thang:
    1.lung walk, squat, burpee our way down the block towards the Taj Mahal
    2.leg swings at the parking post
    3. stop and start ladder (2,4,6,8, parking stripes); forward run, back peddle, side shuffle left, side shuffle right, sprint
    4. ring of fire around the flagpole; push ups with bear crawl – clockwise then counter clockwise.
    5. mosey to the Courthouse for step-ups at the benches
    6. mosey back to the F3 flag

    Wrap:
    all worked up a good sweat

    A plethora of runners joined up to celebrate the Three Amigos. Three cowboy movie stars from the silent era — Dusty Bottoms, Lucky Day and Ned Nederlander — are fired when one of their movies bombs. In what seems to be a career-saving offer, a young Mexican woman Carmen offers them a high-paying gig in her village. The three jump at the opportunity, expecting to do their typical act, but Carmen believes they are really heroes and asks them to rid her village of bad guy El Guapo.

  • Easter Saturday – from Waterpik

    With the Q sheet empty mid week, YHC grabbed the Q for the beatdown on the lakefront. Temperature 54 degrees to start the workout, beautiful westher this time of the year.

    Warmup consisting of seal jacks hill Billies, side straddle hops, wind mills.

    Mosey to the shaft for the main thing. On today’s menu was 11’s. derkins, reverse merkins, stone mountains on one side and Superman’s, sister mary Catherine’s, and rower sit ups on the other.

    Rinse and repeat with some speed work, burpees and rocky balboas on the seawall in between the sets of 11’s.

    Head to the Rock Garden for 2 sets of 10 OYO. Shoulder Press, Curls, Triceps Raise, Rows, Goblet Squats

    Mosey to the Courthouse for 11’s: Scuba Steve on street side, run down past the Smoke House, up the stairs for Stone Mountains on the other side.

    Benches: 2 rounds: x10 IC 1st in regular cadence, 2nd in Tempo cadence.

    Dirkin, Freak Nasty, Romanian Split Squats, Superman’s

    Head back to the Flag for a Jose10k Wife Pleaser trifecta of regular and single leg variations, Jane Fonda’s, and time was called by Legal.

    No announcements, YHC closed out with prayers for Moby Dicks friend Ron, and opportunities to serve and lead those around us.

    THANG

    OYO mosey towards the beach stopping for 10 Burpees at each hydrant. At the splash pad we circled up for “Raider Pride”, the football drill consisting of running in place and dropping and popping up in turn.
    Returning to the flag doing 10 Jump Squats at each hydrant, and circled up for Al Gore/ Jump Squats.
    Headed in the other direction past the Shaft and over the bridge, doing 10 hand release merkins at each hydrant (and maybe 1 or 2 imaginary ones).
    Circled up for Plank/Merkins.
    Return with 25 SSHs per hydrant.

  • Fog at The Gipper…Weather and Brain – from Einstein

    Cool temps with some big time fog at The Gipper this morning.

    Warmup: toe touch, windmills, hi jack hi jills, side straddle hops, arm circles, swimmers. high knees, buttkicks, parker peters, side lunges, etc

    Thang: 3 sets of cinderblock work, each seperated by an non cinderblock event.
    block work – the usual…curls, presses, rows, overhead thrusts, farmer carry, rifle carry, big boy situps, skull crushers, squat thrusts, lunges, etc.
    set break 1 – speed skater walk for a city block then back peddle return
    set break 2 – mosey to the court house benches for B. split squats, step ups, merkins

    Hammer prayed us out.

  • Surprise Q by BBQ – from BBQ

    Einstein volunteered me to Q on the spot. He said I was showing the most energy and somebody needed to do it. As always it is an honor to be part of F3 and lead these fine young men. Warm ups were self love, arm circles, imperial walkers, hillbillies, mountain climbers, inverted mountain climbers, scuba Steves, leg swings on your tummy ( I have no idea what the official exercise is called) and SSH. The Thang was an 11. Burpees and squats. In between 40 yards of forward lunges and backward lunges one way and 5 steps and a star jack the other way. We had time some hip stretches. The PAX had 4 prayers for those in need. YHC was Elvis RIP for Stella. Moby prayed us out.

    Any guesses? You already know the answer.. Jose10k cannot post Au Lait 10k and not complete the official 6.2. Most inspiring however, was Will.I.Am (#homealoneextra) finishing with the PAX.. Coffee followed at Abita. Appreciate the push Speedy..
