  • Stations of The Cross Fit – from Einstein

    Strong warmup featuring many fan favorites.
    The event: set up 4 stations with gear:
    1 – jump ropes
    2 – 35 pound kettle bell
    3 – 24 pound kettle bell
    4 – 1 set of 15 pound dumbbells
    One pax sprints down the parking deck and then jogs back around.
    While one is running, the remaining pax each pick a station and; jump rope, squat press the 35 pounder, one arm press the 24 pounder, or lunge in place with the 15 pounders.
    then the next guy runs and each pax rotates a station
    We each did five or six run/rotations, and all worked up a good sweat.
    Moby sprinted his last run – impressive!
    DarkWingDuck prayed us out.

  • Just Makin It Up – from Mobydick

    Last minute sign up started with SSH x 20 4 is 1 to get the blood flowing 20x merkins oyo. Cherry pickers and hi jack hi jill and few others. The thang was a hodgepodge lunge wslk to the wall ftom mid garage. There 40x freak nasty. 20x merkins 20x box cutters 20x jane fondas. Mosey to stsirs and 2 cslf raise each stair backwards to the bottom. 20x merkins and something else. Back to the roof by way of the ramps side shuffle switch sides at esch ramp. Top side 2 minute plank and something else. Back to the start and each (7) pax chose a core to close it out. COT and 🙏🏻.
    That kinda how I remember it. Might have keft out a few things.

  • Who’s driving the bus today? – from Mobydick

    6 gentlemen at the a1c got together to get some exercise in, some f2, and some good German jokes from our resident comedian, BBQ. Warm-ups: yes, there was a warm-up
    The Thang: lunge walk the parking garage, then merkins, then freak nastys, then multiple core exercises. 2 calf raises on each step all the way down to the ground floor, karaoke up the ramp, more core exercises, karaoke up the next ramp, more merkins, cooperhead squats, then round robin mary. Moby prayed us out.

    Strong warmup followed by three sets of cinder block work with a run around the block mixed in between sets
    Moby has a new girlfriend,
    Barely legal prayed us out.

  • After the Gorge – from Akbar

    YHC arrived groggy this gloom after a relaxing Easter and overindulgence of sweets. Moby Dick and Turbo Dog were waiting and we got started after some chit chat about travel, broken down cars, Elon Musk, and the upcoming Eclipse. Each of us glad that we both showed up and didn’t have to workout solo, we commenced with the warm up.

    SSH, Arm Circles, Self Love, Grass Grabbers, Toe Touches, Windmills

    Mosey to the playground for 3 sets of 5 pull ups and 10 squats.

    Head to the corner for a walking 4 corners. Just two men strolling around with a dog, catching up. At each corner: 10 Merkins, 15 Squats, 20 Abs of choice.

    Picnic tables for Freak Nasty and Dirkins x 10 IC

    Back at the court, another 4 corners, graduation to a slight jog. Stone Mountains, Crab Cakes, Scuba Steve’s, and Jump Squats.

    2 minutes left for a little Mary, and we are out.

    Marsh Madness this Saturday at the Milestone Marsh.

  • Keeping the Lights on the A1c – from Mobydick

    Short and sweet. Just me and Turbodog. Kept simple stretches to warm up then take to the stairs. 25 minutes of down one corner run to the other corner of the garage up the stairs and walk back to the other stairs. Got in about 6 trips and bearky 500 stairs. Knocked out 50 freak nasties and a few stretches and a cool down walk around the top and called good. Pretty much knew it was going to be just me cause the gipper regulars all had something else to do. Reflected on the years F3 has added to my life when Noted we are soon to celebrate 10 years on the Northshore. 7 of those have reshaped my life. Thanks yall

    A brisk cool morning and Moby dick is back at thelm. My first Q in a few months due to a tender back. A 6 exercise Tabata 1 min work 1 min rest. SSH/Squats/Crunches/Freddy Mercury/Merkins/Bix Cutters. All at your own pace. Managed 4.5 sets befire COT. Moby affirm prayer of gratitude for our strengths and pledge to share it with all we encounter. Til next time

    6 in the Gipper Gloom today, arriving to warmer temps and fog.

    Warm Up: SSH, ARM CIRCLES, SELF LOVE, GRASS GRABBERS, SWIMMERS, TOE TOUCHES, WINDMILLS

    Pax: Akbar, Moby Dick, BBQ, Dark Wing Duck, Einstein, Barely Legal

    Head to the Rock Garden for 2 sets of 10 OYO. Shoulder Press, Curls, Triceps Raise, Rows, Goblet Squats

    Mosey to the Courthouse for 11’s: Scuba Steve on street side, run down past the Smoke House, up the stairs for Stone Mountains on the other side.

    Benches: 2 rounds: x10 IC 1st in regular cadence, 2nd in Tempo cadence.

    Dirkin, Freak Nasty, Romanian Split Squats, Superman’s

    Head back to the Flag for a Jose10k Wife Pleaser trifecta of regular and single leg variations, Jane Fonda’s, and time was called by Legal.

    No announcements, YHC closed out with prayers for Moby Dicks friend Ron, and opportunities to serve and lead those around us.

  • Knowing what you don’t know is more useful than being brilliant. – from Akbar

    4 Pax in the gloom this morning, welcoming back Julio and Moby Dick. The title has nothing to do with the beatdown, beyond sharing knowledge. Still a lot of work on the playground, but the basketball goals are up in preparation for Marsh Madness.

    PAX: Akbar, The Hammer, Julio, Moby Dick, Waterpik.

    Started with the usual warm up consisting of SSH, Grass Grabbers, Arm Circles, Self-Love, Imperial Walkers, and Windmills.

    Head to the playground for 4 sets of pull ups and squats.

    4 corners around the big block stopping at each intersection for Hand Release Merkins, Sumo Squats, and Superman’s x10 IC. Ditching the HR Merkins for 2 corners with regular Merkins.

    Head to the benches for Freak Nasty, Bulgarian Split Squats, and Irkins x10 IC

    4 corners on the court: Stone Mountain, Shoulder Taps, Overhead Claps, and standing shoulder fly’s x 10 IC. Threw in a couple of backwards lunge walks, and headed back to the benches for another round of Freak Nasty, Bulgarians, and Irkins.

    Center court for Mary, consisting of Hello Dolly, Rosalita, Wife Pleasers, and Little Many Crunches.

    Count, Name, and Hammer prayed us out.
