  • Sure, I will Ruck with you! – from Shooter

The normals were missing, but that didn’t stop Jose10k and Speedy from traveling south.
During warmups Sir Wacker decided to roll in looking like he was about to T-bone speedy’s Miata exiting like it was -40 shedding clothes as he joined the PAX.
Jose10k and YHC rucked while Bushwacker and Speedy took out for an 8:17 pacing through Mandeville..

    Appreciate the post 👊🏼👍🏼✌🏼!!

  • Omaha, Omaha, Omaha – from Jose10k

The cool front came in and 4 HIMs took the red pill this morning. Steve had to drop out, so YHC took the Q. Which included some warm-ups, then we took off and ran the usual loop. The other 3 took one more lap around the subdivision, and I went straight back to head to work. Movie night at Wacker’s house tonight! SYITG

  • Give the man the credit! – from Shooter

This BB is being written to make sure the man gets his due. You know what I am talking about when I say the commitment of Jose10k is undeniable and he will not only post but Q and he deserves nothing but respect..

It’s a run AO so you know what we did..
    Followed by a little Mary!!

Appreciate the post and until the next time
    👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!!!

  • Will the real Ken Cooley please stand up – from Waterpik

Waterpik Q’d, however, since I don’t run and talk. I, Jose10K, was a witness to the entire conversation. This is my recollection of the event in question:

The 5K Diaries: Sweat, Soap, and Socialism

It was a warm, humid, misty morning—perfect conditions for a casual 5K that quickly devolved into a mashup of Hot Takes on Everything. The run kicked off with an innocuous query about why Waterpik doesn’t send out aggressive, mic-dropping press releases. (Seriously, who wouldn’t want to see “BREAKING: Cleanest Gums in the Game!”?) But alas, the user base is too niche and too predictable—just the same folks posting the same tired questions. Moral of the story? Post boldly and question everything.

By mile one, sweat was pouring, and the topic shifted to insurance—where the discussion hit “sprint pace.” Apparently, Ken Cooley emerged like a Revolutionary War reenactor, bellowing something akin to “No premiums without transparency!” Government corruption and spending became the villain of this story.

Mile two brought the big guns: socialism versus capitalism. Shooter, the group’s resident firebrand, went full scorched-earth. The kids these days? Soft. Entitled. Looking for handouts instead of hauling themselves up by their bootstraps. The pension debate? Oh, he was livid. Crooked officials getting fat payouts while the honest folk slog through the system? Don’t even get him started. Shooter’s voice reached such decibels that passing runners thought he was coaching someone through the finish line.

By the time you crossed that 5K marker, it wasn’t just your legs that were exhausted—your brain had run a marathon of debate, grievance airing, and revolutionary rhetoric. And yet, amidst the misty chaos, one thing was clear: never underestimate the power of humidity and a good rant to fuel a run.

  • The Three Amigos: Ken from Humana does voiceover work? – from Jose10k

3 HIMS woke up this morning and took the red pill to run through the streets of Mandeville. A Jose10k pace made the conversations even more interesting. Hogsbreath fartsacked due to a better offer he couldn’t refuse. 3 miles doing the usual route followed by 5 minutes of stretching for 2 of us who are off to do the turkey trot. While running, we were entertained by Shooters talent of voices and extravagant accents. A man of many talents. Happy Thanksgiving my brothers!

  • Ruck was the right call!! – from Shooter

The Gloom was crisp and cool, so 7 HIMs decided to take the pill to get after it.

Warmup was a mix of 10 & 15 IC of Imperial walkers, Hillbillies, Grass grabbers, seal claps, seal jacks, toe touches, butt kicks and slow squats..

YHC decided to join Ringo as he was the only Rucker around.. Wise choice by the Q for two reasons. One was the soreness lingering from the previous beatdown at the Gipper with Dinghy but the second was the best as it allowed me to catch up in chatter on how things have been with Ringo..

Sent the gazelles out on the traditional route with two loops and this included the savage Jose10k. I heard in closing he has joined forces with Steve for the Turkey trot and will be present Turkey morning at the Scramble as well.. What discipline and dedication is all I can say..

All arrived back at the same time 0555 where we dropped to our 6 and completed E to Ks, flutters and penguins ending with a PAX choice ring around the circle of shoulder taps, plank jacks, Peter Parker’s, merkins, groiners and donkey kicks..

Closed with the FINAL Turkey announcement for the Scramble, COT.

    Until the next Gloom!!!

  • The OLD and the NEW!! – from Shooter

Well today provided some Old, as well as New faces at the Scramble!! With Ecitebike returning from a recent Granny visit the New was expected but when Ringo showed through the darkness we had us an Oldie but goodie..
YHC quickly got the Pax started with the warmup of a mix 10IC, 15IC, and 20IC.
SSH, arm circles, grass grabbers, toe touches, and Superman’s..

    2 Ruckers
    3 10 min milers
    3 8 min milers.

    Returned and closed out!!

    Until the next Gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!!

  • Deja vu!! – from Shooter

YHC rolled up to familiar faces from Granny’s.
DR Mee Maw, Steve and Rouse were present.
Next thing you know an unfamiliar car comes rolling in and low and behold HogsBreath emerges from a new ride.. With all PAX accounted for we completed a light warmup..

    SSH
    Grass grabbers
    Toe touches
    Arm circles
    Butt kicks
    Good mornings

3 rucked out for 20 and back while Steve and Q took the lakefront route turning up and returning at the Barley Oak!!
Upon return to the AO completed Jane Fonda’s (EiEi) style.

    Rouse closed with COT!!

    Until the next Gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!

  • Back to Routine – from Shooter

Doubled the count from last Thursday.
Six runners of different paces and two Ruckers.
Weather was mild and after brief warmup and chatter PAX ran the old Route.
    Returned for Mary.

    Count, announce and COT

    Until the next Gloom 👍🏼✌🏼✌🏼!!

  • That’s not a normal Scramble! – from Shooter

Not sure of the reason, but today proved to have one of the smallest PAX the Scramble has seen in quite awhile… YHC arrived to alone Steve loosening up by the light.. For a minute looked as though he and I would be the only Scramblers.. Not so fast around the bend comes Akbar strolling in. We start in on some warmups and then we are joined by Chewy.
The balance was perfect 2 Ruckers and 2 joggers (I use that term loosely) as we all know Steve is a runner.. He kindly enough decided to jog though, much appreciated. Ruckers out 20 and back and Steve and Q reversed the sidewalk run heading straight to the pier then backdown Monroe and weaving through Golden shores back to our sidewalk, which actually had some other patrons utilizing on this Gloom..

Returned with a total of 4.1 at a 9:42 pace I believe as the Ruckers were returning.

Count, announce, and COT thanks to Akbar!!

    Until the next Gloom 👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼!!
