Backblast: Mr. Rodgers Challenge (MRC) – Week 1 “Founding Fathers”
Date: 10/15/25 | AO: [El Diablo] | QIC: Mr. Rodgers
Conditions: Cool morning, but it heated up fast
The Challenge Begins 🇺🇸
Showed up early for the 1st-ever Mr. Rodgers Challenge (MRC) — the spiritual continuation of the IPC. The goal: benchmark endurance, discipline, and a little bit of shared misery.
Big shout-out to Mayhem, our newly crowned Man of the Year, for inspiring this madness. He’s the reason we’re still out here pushing limits — a well-earned title and the perfect spark to keep the torch lit.
Once Fast Tax found out that the “MRC” was really just IPC 2.0, his regret was immediate and loud. He and Bogey teamed up as the official complaint department, feeding off each other’s commentary like Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets.
Did it phase me? Absolutely not. I gave the shortest disclaimer possible and launched straight into the suffering.
Warmarama (10 min)
Abe Vigodas
Windmills
Low Slow Squats
Hillbillys
Side Lunges
Side Straddle Hops
Peter Parkers
Shoulder Taps
Limbered up, music blasted, and ready for a beatdown worthy of the Founding Fathers themselves.
Main Event – 4 Rounds for Time (≈30 min cap)
Every PAX on his own, but all pushing together. Form > Speed. No shortcuts.
1 Round =
50 Air Squats
40 Big Boy Sit-Ups
30 Merkins
20 Bonnie Blairs
10 Burpees
400m Run
That’s 200 / 160 / 120 / 80 / 40 reps total + a mile run to close it out.
The PAX put in solid work — and somehow, we wrapped it up in under 30 minutes. No complaints there (well… except from Fast Tax).
COT / Closing
Finished strong, circled up, and lifted our intentions to the Lord Almighty — giving thanks for freedom, brotherhood, and the ability to still move afterward.
Quote of the Day:
“The harder the conflict, the greater the triumph.” – George Washington
The first-ever MRC is officially in the books. The standard has been set.
Happy IPC Season 1. God Bless America. 🇺🇸
