Group of 12 / 13 for another hot, humid, less than breezy morning. Warmup was wrapped up in Thang this week, because I’m too old.
Thang
Cakewalk as we moseyed around block by block – each year represented by a one-hit wonder from that year. There were by my count six songs that I was able to play (on a speaker that apparently was not up to par according to some) because my musical taste can best be described as “sycophant”, Hammer of course won “Name the Artist” but JV and Zoo held their own to place and show, and we had a special appearance on the lakefront by a sweet 73 year old gentleman that did his best to convince me to move the beatdown to Friday’s, which was his normal walk day but the rain moved it to Saturday.

Fellas, I can honestly say that each year I celebrate another trip around the sun, I get more grateful for my blessings, big and small. One of the biggest is my relationship with you all, and the camaraderie, brotherhood, and friendships we share. Each week we choose to haul ourselves out early on what is for most of us a day off, to get smelly and sweaty to make ourselves better. I wouldn’t trade it for the world, because I can count on each of you to lift me up. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to be there to do the same for each of you. I appreciate each of you.
Thank you all for joining and SYITG.
