A little more challenging – from DAX

Backblast
AO: The Foundry
Date: 09/23/2026
PAX total: 7
Q: DAX

PAX: DAX, Scooter, Lamar, Saban, Caboose, HighRise, Jesus Juice

Signed up to Q the night before…or so I thought. I overslept and thankfully HighRise had taken the warmup. I asked if I could have the Q and he was more than happy to oblige.

Thing 1: Native American run + Burpee
We often do these as a mode of transportation from one part of the beatdown to another, so having the last guy do a burpee before sprinting to the front makes it just a little more challenging. We took the long way from the track, down Roosevelt Mall to the Children’s Museum to the Foundry. I was very tempted to call for a Route 66 with Bonnie Blairs.

Thing 2: Half a Murph
Just like adding a burpee challenged us a little more than usual, doing half a Murph is a whole lot more challenging than the normal quarter Murph. To refresh your memory, a Half Murph is:
50 pull-ups
100 merkins
150 squats

We broke these down in rounds of 5, 10, 15. Finished with 47 pull-ups, which is 22 more than I normally would get.

Thing 3: Native American run + 2 Burpees
This was a bad choice. Pax got all spread out, we circled back and swept everyone and then I made the worser decision to finish with a sprint. Jesus Juice still beat me.

At the Flag, Ab circle featuring all the classics like Freddy Merc’s, American Hammers, J-lows, Big Boy Situps and flutter kicks.

Count off, name-o-rama, intentions and COT:

Lots going on now, really thankful for all the Pax pushing each other to be better, everyday.
