  • Turkey Trot Rucksgiving Plus an FNG – from Bolt

6 pax heeded the call to accelerate on Turkey Day with what else? A run/ruck because it’s the Wally Run: runners covered 4.5 miles for a 10’00” pace and the ruckers covered 2.7 miles for 15’02” pace.
Teedy OCP and an FNG were DR from AR for Thanksgiving with Hawg. Boo Boo baited the FNG into naming himself—it was brilliant; welcome Hose Monkey, one of the best names in recent memory!

  • It’s Now Called Wally Stretch – from Bolt

YHC posted a call for S&M on mumblechatter and Pillsbury have the HC and so it shall be. Charmin showed up and thankfully had a Pre-K sleep mat for Mr. Rogers who was on the fence about running or S&M. Cheese Steak got his passport stamped and rounded out the crew. Disclaimer and off to the pavilion for today’s session. Mr. Rogers modified a few times, showing off his yoga prowess and unwittingly made himself a future S&M Q and he’ll oblige with sessions co-led by his Broga subscription. Back to the flag where a sweaty Hawg joins the COT;. I’m thankful for the accountability men!

  • Run or Ruck the Wally – from Fracsac

  • Veterans Day 2023 – from Fracsac

13 Pax showed up to better themselves at the Mothership. We had Mathlete from the Northshore and Crawdad a little further north, Toledo if you must know.

3 ran away for fear that YHC might hurt them. I get it. The rest were part of a Veterans Day beat down celebration including a little trivia sprinkled in.

Warmup with regular stuff at the peristyle.

    The thang:

10 minutes of 11 WW2 sit-ups and 11 squats followed by 200 meter run. Increase by 11 reps followed by the run until time runs out.

5 minutes of step ups to commemorate fallen veterans to suicide, based on Chad Wilkinson and Chad 1000x.

    BLIMPS

All in cadence with a 400 m run between exercises.

    COT

Thanks to all veterans for their service.

  • Before and After – from Charmin

Before we started today, YHC decided that since we are all doing our own thing, we should make sure that we start at end with the same number of people, specifically that we start and end with the same people (assuming we don’t EH someone along the way). Well today we started with 13 pax. A joke was made that we’d end up with 14 since Triple Shift would be late. After some laughs we all took off.

KnOTers went their way, Kennan Brah went to his car, and the herd of runners, at Hawg’s request went on a “slow jog”. Towards the end of the run, YHC came back to the track and Lo and beheld Triple Shift and ended up running a lap with him.

Once we all came back to the CoT, and after a quick count-o-rama heavy jokes were made at Triple Shift’s expense.

Ended with prayers for family and in thanksgiving for healing.

  • KnOTters all around – from Charmin

In a rare occurrence, there were no runners. YHC was planning on walking around the park, however when all the HIM’s started their backwards trot, YHC decided a day of Knees Over Toes wouldn’t be the worst thing. Tenderloin showed up early and was speeding around the track already at 5:30. That being said, after 45 minutes (or so) we returned to the Shovel Flag and ended in a COT where we prayed for those intentions spoken and unspoken.

  • How many Donkey Kicks can we do? – from Pool Boy

Woke up to a light drizzle and thought the PAX count would be low but I was wrong. This group is tenacious! Disclaimer and then Mosey to the rocks.

Warmups consisted of SSH’s, Imperial Walkers, Hillbillies, Grass grabbers, Mountain Climbers, Abe Vigodas, and 10 merkins.

Mosey to the gym with a medium size rock –
For 15 minutes we worked individually:
    10 Donkey Kicks
    10 Calf Raises with Rock
    10 Curls
    10 LBC’s with rock
    Run around the gym.
    Rinse and Repeat

    Partner sets-
Set 1 – 75 Donkey Kicks. Partner runs around gym
Set 2 – 75 Calf Raises with Rock. Partner runs around gym
Set 3 – 75 Curls. Partner runs around gym
Set 4 – 75 LBC’s with Rock. Partner runs around gym.

Finish with some merkins and squats in the parking lot.

COT – Many prayers were lifted up by the PAX.
    Thanks for showing up.

  • Running with Friends. – from Charmin

KnOTer’s aside, it seemed as if most of the Pax today ran with someone at some point. Goes to show that we all cross each others paths at some point.

COT involved praying for those who are suffering and going through tribulations.

  • Can you see it? – from Charmin

Today was all about seeing. Seeing 16 PAX show up, seeing Rudy not read the “No Parking”, and YHC and others seeing how hard we could push ourselves in the gloom.

Typical, KnOTers, Stretchers, and Runners were there.

Ended with COT emphasizing that we are all figured a spiritual battle and asked for our guardian angels’ help.
