Pretty standard stuff today, but effective enough. (Though to be fair, anything is effective in this humidity – you can go for a short walk around the trailhead and you’ll be as drenched as Russo after a warmup.)
Just as there’s Taco Tuesday, so there is “Tunnel Tuesday.” A quick warmorama before heading west to that beloved, airless cavity, stopping at each intersection for:
1st Stop: 20x squats, 20x monkey humpers, 20x Sister Mary’s.
2nd Stop: 20x merkins, 20x shoulder taps, 20x stone mountains
3rd Stop: 20x dying cockroaches, 20x leg raises, 20x boxcutter
Once at the tunnel, we did an oldie but goodie: B.O.M.B.S.
Started with 10 burpees, backwards run up the ramp, then jog back down to start again with 10x burpees before adding the next exercise:
10x burpees
20x overhead air presses (in Al Gore position)
30x merkins
40x big boys
50x squats
Back in time for a bit of Mary before COT, where Chewy prayed us out with intentions for SOGO. Great to have the crew: Chewy for a second consecutive post with more promised, Jose back after a weeklong hiatus, and the stalwart Russo, holding it all together. Mornings like this one make me appreciate you gentlemen all the more, because if one thing’s for certain it’s this: there’s about a zero probability that I would be out there improving each week without you guys.
