Though Cowbell had a spring in his step after an Ole Miss win Saturday, the rest of the crew was dragging… either from LSU’s loss or from being destroyed by Iron Pax for the second week.
Except for Speedy, of course. Speedy always keeps us honest, whether it’s making sure we don’t shave off even more of the route than we already have, slowly driving up the pace throughout the run, or cajoling us to ‘pick it up’ for that final mile. And today was no different – after navigating a volley of arrows from Duke and Bean Sprout’s surprise archery attack, Speedy had a few of us nearing a 6:20 pace (well, for a few blocks at least).
Coffee brought out the Punisher for a quick cameo before his church ushering duties, and there was some good conversation about Hyrox, local Covington gyms, and what it means to have community.
