The weekend workout endured another hot, humid Saturday. After a warmup mosey to the North Shore’s 30’ x 60’ dodge ball court, the group split into 3 teams to battle it out for North Shore glory. Many traditional dodge ball games were played with the winning team remaining to prove their superior skill against the awaiting team. The team on deck participated in a separate warm-up event of burpees, bear crawls, mountain climbers, and pull-ups to build determination as to not lose the ensuing game and repeat the warm-up phase. The victors rotated often with all teams balancing wins and losses. At the end of play, it came down to a playoff between Sleeper and Dukes, with Dukes proving skill much beyond his grade school age. A successful day of competition where no medical attention or x-rays were required! The group returned to the flag for announcements, prayer, and then transitioned to fellowship and coffee where Bird and Grundy joined the group.
