30 for 30 – from Whistlepig

After a week of temps in the low 30’s, the humid 41 degrees that greeted 7 PAX at the Uptowner Friday morning felt almost….balmy.
To celebrate the 30th day of the year, we headed into a 30s themed beatdown…

WARM-O-RAMA – 30-themed, but gentle.
10 LoSlo Squats +
10 Hillbilly +
10 Windmill = 30
30 SSH

MOSEY to Parking Lot

ROUND 1 – Parking Lot
TABATA – 30 seconds work / 15 seconds rest – 3 Rounds
• Hillbilly Squats
• Reverse Lunges
• Merkins
• Jump Squats

ROUND 2 – Pavilion
30 reps each – 30yd run between each, Hold the Al Gore for the 6
• 30 Picnic table Upper Deckers
• 30 Calf Raises
• 30 BB Sit-Ups
• 30 Plank Jacks

ROUND 3 – Pavilion
4 exercises back to back – Plank for the 6
• 30-yard shuttle run
• 30 Mountain Climbers
• 30 Lil Baby Twists
• 30 Hello Dollys
Complete the set, then 30 seconds rest. Repeat x2.

ROUND 4 – Berm by the Building
TABATA – 30 seconds work / 15 seconds rest – 3 Rounds
• Parker Merkins (Peter Parker + Merkin = 1)
• Bigboy Situpsv
• Heels to Heaven
• Decline Merkins

A full agenda left us with just a couple of minutes to stretch out ahead of the COT. The 30-round Indian Run will have to wait for another morning…..

The mumblechatter decreased as we went, eventually replaced with grunts and groans and several Pax (YHC included) puffing like full-on steam engines by the end.

Hearing “Deceptive workout, Pig” tells me the beatdown quality is improving, which is the mission, both for the group and for me individually.
